CSI and CoC
So CSI (S08) was being filmed outside of Hasley Hall today. I’ve never heard (or not heard) the campus as quiet as when they yelled “rolling”. Pretty cool. Didn’t see anyone famous, or anything, but I did see then shooting a scene where a black guy is doin something to the front left tire of one of those black SUVs the CSI guys drive around with. He then stood up and got all up in this guy’s face that was gettin all up in his. Took a few photos, may upload em later if I crop em.
In other news, it’s gonna rain. Hard, they say. I’m gettin ready. About damn time for that.
Also, the transmission in my car blew (well we think it’s the transmission). The car won’t engage, just makes a whirring noise. Called AAA and they said it’d be 900something to get it down the mountain so we just figured OK, we’ll get it worked on up in Big Bear. Apparently the guy was only going to buy a tranny from Nissan, which would run upwards of 3,500 bucks. Turns out we know a guy that knows a guy, and he can tow it down-mountain for less than 600 bucks, and my regular mechanic can put the tranny in for 2600, labour and everything. So good game there. I should be back to driving myself around soon. Getting new tires, too, just in time for rainy season. My wear bars were showing, and that’s no good.
So this post was basically useless, but I guess that’s what blogs are for, right? Oh well, all thousand of my followers will know my life.
